Now Marking
Milestone 1
$100,000

Give me your left,
Give me your left,
Give me your left, your right, your left.

Give me your left………

And so the soldier’s march starts. The soldier starts with the left foot and moves forward to the cadence of the voice – moving out to serve us, to protect us, to serve and protect our country, our freedoms and our lives.

Some soldiers will give us their ultimate sacrifice – their lives. Soldiers die protecting themselves. Soldiers die protecting their fellow soldiers. Soldiers die protecting their beliefs. Soldiers die protecting our principles. Soldiers die protecting us at home. Soldiers die so others may live. Soldiers die as fallen heroes. Soldiers die in war.

When a soldier dies, they leave behind family, friends and a nation who loved them, appreciated them and will miss them. They leave behind relationships and will be missed. They leave behind responsibilities and will be missed. They leave behind a hole and they will be missed.

For some of our fallen heroes, the hole includes parental responsibilities to help their children. The responsibility to help their children learn and become productive citizens in our great nation. To help their children to take advantage of the freedoms for which their parent died.

Our government provides each child about $500 per month for 36 months to pay for their post high school education.  That is a total of less than $20,000 for a 4 year college education. It is time that we as a nation, we as companies, we as organizations, we as churches and we as individuals start our march to help the children our fallen heroes have left behind.

We start with our left foot – The Left Foot Project.

The Left Foot Project honors our fallen heroes by supporting the Armed Forces Children’s Education Fund. The AFCEF is dedicated to “financially assist the educational needs of the surviving children of the U.S. Military men and women who lost their lives on or after October 7, 2001, the commencement of Afghanistan operations, as part of the global war on terrorism defined as ‘Operation Enduring Freedom’.”  That is they provide financial assistance to ensure those having lost a parent in the ware on terror can get a college education.  AFCEF funds are secondary to other sources, restricted as to use, and are based on need.

It is time for you to step up. Join our march!
For as little as $100, you or your company receives recognition
on the appropriate theleftfootproject.com milestone page and a special yellow left foot.

Left Foot Project members receive a special yellow left foot.

  • We start with our left foot to keep in step with our troops.
  • The left foot is a child’s foot to remind us of our responsibility to help the children of our fallen heroes.
  • The left foot is heavy to remind us of the heavy responsibility we must now take to honor our fallen heroes by helping their children.
  • The left foot is yellow – the color of hope. Hope for the future of the children we now help. Hope for their children and their children.
  • The left foot gives with resistance when squeezed, but retains its shape when released to remind us that we as individuals, we as communities and we as a nation have often been squeezed but we prevail. We retain our shape. We retain our liberty. We retain our freedoms.
  • And finally, the left foot has a hole. A hole to remind us of the ultimate sacrifice made for us by the child’s parent and the hole we must now help fill.

We are now working on our first milestone $100,000.
